The Effect of Vertical Earthquake Motion on Structural Behaviour in Steel Structures in Different Seismic Zones

Each geographical location has its own seismicity and this affects the seismic behaviour of structures. In study, four different settlements with such as İzmir, Bitlis, Samsun Konya were considered. Seismic risks parameters for these provinces compared. Analyses carried out separately a ten-storey steel building same structural characteristics in each provinces. The sample model was created by considering provisions Principles Design, Calculation Construction Steel Structures-2016 Turkish Building Earthquake Code-2018. nonlinear time history analysis method made province earthquake directions, using SAP200 program.
